Selective Solder Fixtures

Selective Solder Fixtures

Selective solder fixtures are specialized fixtures used in electronics manufacturing to support and protect printed circuit boards (PCBs) during the selective soldering process.

Selective Soldering is a process of selectively soldering through-hole components to a printed circuit board using a selective soldering machine. Unlike a wave solder machine, a selective solder machine has a miniature wave that can be programmed to solder one through-hole component at the time.

  • Process multiple individual boards at the same time (e.g., small boards that should have been panelized).
  • Reduce board warping (e.g., thin or flimsy boards).
  • Eliminate flooding problems.
  • Improve soldering quality.
  • Ensure repeatable process results.
  • Reduce setup time.

Quoting and ordering your selective solder fixtures online!

You can request a custom quote or quote and order your pallets online. Please follow the next steps to quote and order online.

  1. Enter the part number and revision of your pallet. It is very important to assign a part number and a revision to any custom part for identification.
  2. Attached a zip file containing the following information:
    1. Gerber or Step files
    2. Photos of previously assembled boards (if available)
    3. Special instructions
  3. Select the material type and thickness. If you are not sure what to select, please request a custom quote.

  5. Enter the number of hold downs. We recommend a minimum of two hold downs for individual boards. If your boards are panelized we recommend four hold downs, one for each corner of the panel.
  6. Select “Yes” if your pallet needs a top hat.
  7. Select “Yes” if you would like to add stiffener bars to your pallet.
  8. Please enter the number of shoulder bolts to be added to your pallet.
